Diploma
and Higher Diploma in International Hotel Management
Program Focus
For High School Graduates, HIM offers a Diploma or Higher Diploma Program in International Hotel Management. The program develops hospitality and management skills. Hospitality skills are taught in a traditional, yet dynamic Swiss manner providing you with expertise in food and beverage service, front office operations, housekeeping and rooms division. As HIM graduates are prepared for top-end management positions, the program does not include food production (kitchen) or housekeeping practical sessions. However these subjects are addressed in theoretical classes, which include many demonstrations
Management skills are developed using an American method which provides expertise in hospitality management know-how and an in-depth knowledge of the key management subjects of Human Resource Management, Finance and Marketing which are essential for future industry leaders
After successful completion of the Higher Diploma, students can progress into the BBA Degree and then the MBA Degree program.
Program Structure
Year 1 and 2 include a 5 month academic term followed by 4 - 6 month paid internship.
This combination allows both the theoretical and practical aspects of hospitality
management to be developed. |
